Filter Cartridges

Filter cartridges offer a unique advantage: a large filter area together with compact dimensions.

Filter-Tex Media can offer a wide range of filter cartridges to suit your needs. Filter-Tex Media cartridges come in various sizes or can be custom made to meet your individual requirements. Filter-Tex Media cartridges can be manufactured from pleated paper, spun bonded polyester, felt or coated fabrics. Pleat depths range from 5mm to 50mm.

Filter-Tex Media cartridges are available with perforated steel, expanded mesh guards, woven wire or plastic guards. If required our cartridges can be made with either high performance polyurethane or metal endcap seals. All standard plating finishes are also available on all of our cartridges.

GORE® and GORE™ Filter Cartridges

GORE® and GORE™ cartridges benefit from surface filtration using GORE™ membrane filtration laminates, which prevents clogging of dust. Wide pleat spacing combined with excellent cake release characteristics ensure easy cleaning of the cartridges, even with high dust loads.

GORE® and GORE™ membrane filter cartridges can also be used at higher temperatures and air to cloth ratios than standard cartridge media. The positive benefits include reduced energy costs, increased airflow, low pressure drop and extended maintenance free operation. These cartridges can be manufactured in a variety of lengths and diametres depending on your requirements.
 

GORE® and GORE™ Light-Pulse cartridges

GORE® and GORE™ Light-Pulse cartridges consist of pleated, nonwoven polyester backing material laminated with the GORE® and GORE™ membrane. The self-supporting pleated filter media is formed into a sealed cylindrical shape, wrapped around a metal core and potted into metal end caps. The absence of a metal frame behind each pleat results in the cartridge weighing 75% less than conventional fabric cartridges. The patented filter design utilises unrestrained pleats which flex during cleaning and actually open to release the dust cake with minimal pulse energy. Because of this, GORE® and GORE™ cartridges allow the air pressure used in the jet pulse cleaning systems to be reduced by 50-60%, this not only saves energy but also extends the life of the filter.

Morflo Pleated Filter Bags

Why a Pleated Bag?

Designing a dust collection system can be difficult with variables such as dust loading and pressure drop changing significantly from the type of design to actual operating conditions.

When these conditions change, filtration velocities may no longer be correct resulting in poor dust collection that eventually may lead to increasing the size of the baghouse by adding more cells or even building an additional baghouse.

These options can be expensive or even impossible due to limited space available.

Filter-Tex Media Morflo pleated filter bags will help solve a number of common problems associated with your baghouse.

Because Morflo Pleated Filter Bags offer more filter area when compared to similar sized filter bags, air to cloth ratio can be dramatically reduced, resulting in lower differential pressure drop and longer bag life.

Alternatively they can be used to design smaller equipment, thereby reducing the overall cost of the project.

About Morflo Pleated Bags

The Morflo Pleated Filter Bag utilises a unique fine denier, high efficiency spun bonded media in Polyester, Antistatic Polyester with Water repellent and PTFE membrane surface finishes. Other fibre types are available as well as pleated needlefelt.

The Morflo Pleated Filter Bags can be installed without any modification to the existing baghouse reducing downtime and cost during baghouse retrofits.

Separate bags and cages are no longer required with the Morflo Pleated Filter Bags. The Morflo Pleated Filter Bags are installed through the baghouse tube sheet and problems with bent or broken cages are eliminated.

Morflo Pleated Filter Bags use the same cleaning system already installed in the baghouse with reduced pulse pressure. With Morflo Pleated Filter Bags you now have a real alternative when faced with high filtration velocities, high differential pressure drops, poor cleaning and unacceptable emission levels.

The unique pleated design of the Morflo Pleated Filter Bag allows for increases in filtration surface area compared to conventional filter bags of up to 400% in some cases. The increase in filter area can cut filtration velocities substantially.
